Lily. An Olympian?

If Lily were to compete in the Winter Olympics it would either be on the ski slopes or in the snowboarding pipe. Unrestrained speed. Throwing her entire body into the competition.

None of the grace and beauty of figure skating. Not confined in a sled. Nor going round and round a track.

No. Lily is an all or nothing girl looking for the thrill of speed. Oblivious to the danger or to the fall. Power and speed. That's her game!

And she would train and practice right up to the last minute. First on the course in the morning and last to quit at the end of the day. Persistence is Lily's middle name. (One of them!)

Medaling wouldn't be her priority. It would be the sport that would consume her. And competitors? Don't get in her way. Her focus would be on the goal, no matter the obstacle.

Coming to a stop at the end might be a problem, though. Slowing down isn't part of Lily's mentality. Short spurts of speed and power.

Then a quick check in with her coach and she would be off again. Finesse would be compensated for with enthusiasm.

Of course, continual snacking would be part of Lily's regime. Fuel for the fire. And occasional, quick naps. Snacks and naps and Lily could go forever.

Lily is impervious to pain so falls wouldn't be an issue. If you're not afraid of falling and you're not afraid of pain you are unstoppable! The perfect Olympian!

And Lily would train diligently. A quick learner, Lily could be taught the most difficult tricks and perform them with aplomb! The Double McTwist 1260. The Hurricane. If you can imagine it, Lily would give it her all.

Hmmm. How long is it until the next Winter Olympics? We had better begin planning our strategy!
